Interests

Reading, writing, watching movies, listening to my iPod, which I often do when I write—mood music, you know ;-), performing, spending time with my family, and lots of other things!

Favorite Books

I absolutely adore historical fiction, classics, Gothics, and fantasy. Fave books include Dracula, The Black Tulip, The Other Boleyn Girl, I Capture the Castle, David Copperfield, The Woman in White, The Turn of the Screw (more of a novella, but it's still awesome! I read it at least twice a year), Mary Reilly, Emma, LOTR Trilogy, Chronicles of Narnia, The King of Elfland's Daughter, Silverlock, Bunnicula, and anything by Georgette Heyer, Victoria Holt/Jean Plaidy, P. G. Wodehouse, and Edgar Allan Poe.

Favorite Music

I adore the Eagles, Roxette, Celine Dion, Disco, 80's music, movie soundtracks, and classical music. I have a soft spot for both Pirates soundtracks and I love the Corpse Bride CD.

Favorite Movies

JAWS, no question. Quint anyone? Also love Pirates I & II, LOTR trilogy, Gladiator, Ben-Hur, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Batman Begins, Willow, Return to Oz, Dragonslayer, Ella Enchanted, Jurassic Park, Alien, Corpse Bride, Van Helsing, Anne of the Thousand Days, Anastasia (1997), The Great Race (Jack Lemmon was a genius), Some Like It Hot, Fiddler on the Roof, The Court Jester (anything with Danny Kaye gets my vote), Wonderman, The Phantom of the Opera, Finding Neverland, Monsters, Inc. (Googily Bear! Schmoopsie poo!), Ghostbusters I & II, Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice (2005), The Princess Bride, The Princess Diaries I & II, Transformers, Casino Royale, and about a billion others I don't have room to list. :-)

Other Favorites

I've been a diehard Numb3rs and NCIS fan since both of these series started. I adore Psych and Monk, too. I'm also nuts about old British comedy series--old meaning ones that are no longer on the air. My favorites are Keeping Up Appearances, As Time Goes By, and Are You Being Served? My local PBS station airs them on Saturday nights, so you'll find me parked on the couch enjoying these classics when the weekend comes around. ;-)
